Douglas O. Bosire, Ag. CEO of the National Syndemic Diseases Control Council (NSDCC), today joined hundreds of delegates at the 2nd National Cancer Summit, officially opened by H.E. Dr. Hon. Musalia Mudavadi, EGH, Prime Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.
As a key partner of the National Cancer Institute (NCI), which is hosting the summit in Nairobi, NSDCC reinforced its commitment to addressing the intersection between cancer and syndemic diseases.
The summit’s objectiveโto review the status of cancer prevention, early detection efforts, and progress toward Universal Health Coverageโstrongly aligns with NSDCCโs mandate to lead advocacy and public engagement in the prevention and control of syndemic diseases.
In his remarks, NCI CEO Dr. Elias Melly described the event as timely, marking โa defining moment in our collective efforts to strengthen cancer control in Kenya.โ
