Mr.William Birech

Mr William Kipyego Birech is the Director of Human Resource and Administration at the National Syndemic Diseases Control Council (Formerly NACC) and  is a holder of Master of Business Administration (Strategic & Human Resources) from the School of Business of the University of Nairobi.

He further holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Human Resource Option ) from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA), a Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management (KNEC) from the Institute of Human Resource Management, a Diploma in Personnel Management (KNEC) from IHRM. He has attended several courses including Senior Management Course at Kenya School of Government and relevant courses at Eastern and Southern Africa Management Institute (ESAMI) and other Institutions in the Region.

He was formerly Head of Human Resource & Administration at the Commission on Revenue Allocation from 2015 for ten years. Prior to that he was head of Administration at the Rural Electrification Authority (now REREC) from 2009 to December 2014. He began his HR career at the Kenya Post Office Savings Bank (Postbank) where he worked from 1996 to 2009. His last posting was Regional Human Resource Officer for Nairobi and Southern Kenya  having earlier served at the Head Office in Operations before being deployed to the Human Resource Office.

He is member and HR practioner as approved by Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) in good standing and has published several articles on topical issues in the Management Review and that of IHRM Magazine.
