Dr Murugi Micheni MD

Dr. Murugi Micheni is the Director of Epidemiology and Strategy at the National Syndemic Diseases Control Council (NSDCC) in Kenya, where she leads the development and implementation of public health policies, strategies, and guidelines for managing syndemic diseases. With over 15 years of experience in healthcare delivery, clinical research, epidemiology, and public policy analysis, she plays a pivotal role in strengthening Kenya’s HIV and syndemic disease response through data-driven policy development, research, and multi-sectoral collaboration. She holds an MD, a BSc in Psychology, an MSc in Tropical Medicine and International Health, a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, and an MPH in Epidemiology, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Epidemiology.
